For the 47th year the Heathcote Lions Club will again be co-ordinating the collection for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal on March 30.
Since 1971 the Heathcote Lions Club has collected for the Good Friday Appeal. The collection was one of the Lions Club first major projects instigated by Lions Phonse Lonergan, and since 1971 has collected $308872.
Last year with the assistance of the Heathcote Rural Fire Brigade and the patrons of the Union Hotel, $12500 was raised in Heathcote.
Lions Appeal co–ordinator, Greg Speirs, is again looking for volunteers to assist with the collection for this most worthy cause. Greg asks that any person who has an hour or so to spare with the collection to please contact him on 54 332237 or 0408 332 235 or call at 33 Playne Street after 9.30am on Good Friday to be allocated a collection area.
Remember - “GIVE THAT THEY MAY GROW.”
