Coliban Water Drop-In Session

July 13, 2017

HEATHCOTE residents are invited to Coliban Water’s community drop-in session on July 18.

The event will allow people to hear about the Heathcote Sewer Scheme Project and Coliban’s customer pricing proposals following recent community engagement for its Pricing Submission 2018.

General manager of service delivery and infrastructure Neville Pearce said the five-hour session from 2pm to 7pm at the Heathcote RSL Hall is an opportunity for residents to drop-in at any time.

“Our drop-in session creates an in-person opportunity for a conversation with our project and customer support teams,” he said.

The Heathcote Sewer Scheme Project will invest $5.8 million in expanding the local sewer network and ensure more of the community receives safe and environmentally friendly sewerage services.

“We have engaged directly with customers in the sewer scheme and this is an opportunity not only for them to chat to us further but for anyone in the community to find out about the project,” Mr Pearce said.

“The drop-in session is also an opportunity for Heathcote residents to give their feedback on Coliban Water’s Pricing Submission 2018 Community Draft.

“We have held community visits, community forums, tap water taste tests, customer surveys, stakeholder and major customer interviews and captured information from all our customer conversations to ensure what customers value is a part of our pricing submission.

“We have created a community document for customer feedback that will form a part of our final pricing submission to the Essential Services Commission (ESC), the industry regulator.

“The ESC will review our submission to ensure pricing, service levels and works programs are justified, and costs and charges are fair.”

The Pricing Submission 2018 will be lodged with the ESC by September 29, 2017 and the new pricing plan will come into effect from July 1, 2018.
